Headline News

I try to catch the news everyday either from NPR (at home in the morning or in my car) and sometimes I watch CNN Headline News while I am running on the treadmill.
Today I did both and here are my 3 favorite news stories.

There Headline: Vatican Lists Seven Social Sins, Including Drug Abuse
My Headline: The Vatican Makes Up It's Own Rules. It must continue to stir up controversy in order to cast past and current scandalous cover-ups into the shadows.
I could really get mean below, but I shall refrain.

The seven social sins are:

1. ``Bio ethical' violations such as birth control

2. ``Morally dubious'' experiments such as stem cell research

3. Drug abuse

4. Polluting the environment

5. Contributing to widening divide between rich and poor

6. Excessive wealth

7. Creating poverty

The original deadly sins:

1. Pride

2. Envy

3. Gluttony

4. Lust

5. Anger

6. Greed

7. Sloth

Their Headline: Hagee Endorses McCain
My Headline: Poor, Poor Republicans. Who are you going to vote for?
Not only has Mc Cain been proud, then not proud of his endorsement by Hagee (much like his political party decision.. I am an independent, mmmm, no maybe a democrat, no, cool a republican), but he is also being endorsed by other far-right televangelists, such as Rod Parsley. I think if I were him, I would shy away from endorsement of anyone with the title "Televangelist". Hagee may not be "healing" people with a bop to the forehead like Rod Parsley (omg he is from Ohio), but they share in their out of wack view on the world and how it should operate. You know, like God sending Hurricane Katrina to wipe out all the gays in New Orleans.

NEXT:

Their Headline: ANA Endorses Senator Hillary Clinton for President
My Headline: The Smart ANA Endorses Senator Hillary Clinton for President

“I am honored to have the support of the American Nurses Association,” said Clinton. “We owe nurses a great debt of gratitude for the critical role they play every day in providing quality care.
Hillary’s American Health Choices Plan is the main reason she is my pick for President. Under her plan insurance companies won’t be able to deny people coverage for a pre-existing condition and tax credits will ensure that working families never have to pay more than a limited percentage of their income for quality health care.
I am proud to see my profession endorsing such a plan, and the person behind it.

Love these headlines and your interpretations.
1. I think I am a sinner.
2. It's kind of nice that Republicans are going to be forced to vote for a soft Republican like McCain.
3. I love Hillary. I am actually considering giving money to her campaign, something I have never done in the past.
