Tonight we are set to change to clocks forward. This is something I look forward to every year because it means the end of winter is closer and the beginning of spring is on the way! I love spring, and I really am hating winter. Well today while we set our clocks to spring forward, I think weather wise we have sprung backward. I believe March has unleashed the lion.
Yesterday started the Winter Storm and it just finished today about and hour ago. As of this morning some places had received up to 13 inches of snow today, and that was before the extra 3-4 we got this afternoon.
In our yard we have about 10 inches in the level places and over 15 in some areas.
We tried to go play in the snow, but with the blowing winds and freezing cold temperatures, we gave up after about 30 min.
At this point my spring hope is not eternal. I have NO hope.
So after playing in the snow (and having help from our neighbors to shovel and snow blow) we have camped out in the house being BUMS. Everything is closed (this is Cincinnati and we are on LEVEL 3 snow emergency ya know). So we have played video games, played and have been UNPRODUCTIVE. But Jason wants me to post that he is AWESOME at Super Mario Galaxy.
WHATEVER.
I am better.

You guys are so cute with your 9" of snow :)
We have had FOUR FEET for two months straight and negative 30 degrees weather (with wind chill). It has been the fifth worst winter in Wisconsin history.
I now know why everyone up here looks older than they are. This weather seriously ages you. Next time you see me I will look 45 years old.

I hear ya! The kids loved it, but I wanted to get out of here so badly today. Pajama day just wasn't what I had in mind for my Saturday!
Jeez, I thought I had it bad because I was doing yardwork in windy 40 degree weather in Colorado today! Guess I should count my blessings.
I am sick of the snow, my house (and its inhabitants) and being cooped up. They have not plowed our 'hood yet(yes it is a hood) and I am GOING CRAZY. The news said Warren county ran out of salt. SEND HELP......
I have a spare bedroom and a couple of couches available in South Texas.
Just bring your sunglasses and some boogie boards for the beach!

I lived in Chicago for 18 months once and then 4 months a second time.
Yeah the winters and 4:30 pm DARKNESS did me in.
I wouldn't look old, I'd be DEAD from depression.

Tomorrow is supposed to be about 47 degrees. Woo-hoo! Maybe us here in the north will get spring before you!
