With this being the last weekend in September, I am preparing the family for the upcoming holiday of Halloween. Last year was the first year I bought costumes more than a day in advance, because it really was the first time Jude had an opinion on what he wanted to impersonate.
Jude has decided to be a pirate (costume bought.. check) and Lily wants to be Cinderella (already have that dress up... check). So I feel very prepared, but it is certainly hard to get excited when it still 90 degrees outside, and my lawn resembles a desert with tumbleweeds instead of green grass covered with colorful fall leaves.
I know we will get there, and hopefully the kids will be very excited about Halloween this year.
This gives me an excuse to reminisce about last years Halloween, and Lily's excitement about trick-or-treat.

Of course after a few houses, she got it, and then we were happy.
TOO CUTE! Hopefully we can get it in gear so we aren't shopping the day before at Walgreens for something to wear!
