So I was walking myself through the OR (operating rooms) at work, on my usual path to anesthesia's work room and I spotted a poster that caught my eye.
The poster is an advertisement for Buffalo Filters, which evacuate surgical smoke from certain equipment during surgery.
Here is what the poster says:
KNOW THE FACTS
Scientific evidence has shown that 1 gram of ablated tissue is equal to 3 cigarettes for laser irradiation and 6 cigarettes for electrocauterization, as to total mutagenicity.
Your facility is not smoke free when the O.R. staff is breathing ablated human tissue in surgical smoke.
Come say what? For shizzle. It says they are breathing in human tissue.
So this blows the pants of the truth commercials. Think what we could do with this material in a truth commercial.
Oh the possibilities.
Now I am off to ponder what human tissue might be in my lung? Could I have bowel, vein, artery, or gangrenous foot???
Hmmm or should I say Mmmmmmmm.
