Last week Jason was out of town for a few days. When he came back into town, we were driving in the car to go out to eat. The kids were in the back fighting, screaming, and not listening to us when we were telling them to stop (being terrible). We were headed north on Rt. 42 and I looked out the window:
Me: Welcome Home Jason!
Jason laughs.
Me: Ahhh the Beverage Barn. I love the Beverage Barn. (on my right as we are driving).
Jude: What's the Beverage Barn?
Me: The place mommy drives through sometimes to get drinks.
Jude: What drinks?
Me: The beer I drink to deal with you two.
Jude: laughing hysterically... Mommy, you crack me up.
The Beverage Barn is a pony keg. I think you have to be from Ohio, and maybe Cincinnati to know the term, pony keg. A pony keg is a convenience store of sorts, like a gas station store. Usually a neighborhood feel to it, and a lot of times, drive through. The beauty of that, you don't have to get out of your car.

Aahhh... I miss Cincy!
Love it. We don't have them on the KY side but I've often dreamt of being able to drive through for items. I bet the operators of them have many a good story they could tell!
