The Office this week referenced the Mix CD, and sadly to some they do not know the origination of the mix; The Mix Tape. Remember spending hours on these, perhaps holding the tape recorder up to the radio to get your favorite tunes?
Then came the DUAL tape player, where you could copy your favorite tunes to the blank tape? I tried so hard to not have gaps between songs.
Jason and I have a HUGE bin of old tapes, and in this bin are many a mix tapes. Some just from friends, a lot of mine from old loves.
We both have always loved music, and hearing these old songs brings back many memories tied to the music I used to listen to and still love.

Oh that brings back memories. I would sit in my room after dinner doing "homework" making mix tapes for my boyfriend. I would get so mad when you could hear the rattles and clicks between songs!! I wish I would have kept them!
Jack found a cassette tape in steve's car and was like "what IS this thing?!?" haha
Oh, I love those! I still have some....I personally loved when a boyfriend talked on it too.....ahh, high school! I made one too....very cool!

I too have several mix tapes in the basement. I have one I recorded of just the radio station before I moved. It was early/mid 80s. It was awesome.
