Today I am mourning. My iPod is going to be lonely for new songs.
A year ago, my niece let me know about allofmp3.com for music downloads. I quickly opened an account to take advantage of the $1.99 albums or .13 cent songs. It was fabulous. New albums, old albums, and albums not available in the U.S.. The New York Times had an article that questioned the legality of the site. While the site was legal, I am sure the musicians do not get their fair share. (their rich enough, right?) So I took advantage of the loop hole and downloaded to my hearts content.
Jason sneered at my downloading and that I gave my credit card info to "The Russians", but eventually he caved and started downloading out of my account.
This week the Russian government shut the site down so they could get into a trade agreement and quickly the site came up under another name. mp3sparks.com. Unfortunately, it is now shut down also.
So off they went, with my $12.00 account. (which they can have considering the cheap albums), but Jason you were right... The Russians stole my money. So, I am in mourning. I just can't pay 99 cents a song, $9.99 an album.

And I too am in mourning that I had no idea such a wonderful website existed when it did! So sad...
I will find another site for cheap.
I will, I will.
If I do, I will post so you too can cash in on other's losses.
: )
