Picture Day

Today is picture day and the kid's school. Parents running around furiously this morning trying to fix hair they normally don't, wash faces, iron clothes the kids normally don't wear. It's hilarious. And I wasone of them, washing faces and fixing hair. I am excited to see the end result when we get the pictures back.
Lily has a bruise on her right temple from where Jude tripped her "on accident" last night and Jude has lost his front tooth, and it seems that the other front tooth has migrated to the center or something. Picture day seems to always brings on some sort of ailment, or perhaps your child has gym or lunch before pictures causing some sort of mishap. My friend Mollie's son had taken a face dive on the sidewalk prior to his picture day.
All in all, I think that all of these things make the picture more memorable.
I can't wait to see the pictures. Most probably, I will be laughing at the pictures instead of saying, oh my how cute.
That is why I chose the least expensive package.
Memories.... nothing but memories...

You one blog crazy lady!

hehe...brings back memories of arguing with my mom about wanting to wear my Space Camp flight suit for a school picture. Looking back, I'm kinda glad I lost that argument. My friend that went to Space Camp with me wore his and he was still being called "camper" when we graduated high school more than a few years later.

ps...one of the coolest things my mom did was to simply put each picture in the same frame in front of the one from the previous year. There is one frame on the wall for each kid and we always get a kick out of pulling them down and flipping through 12 or more years of photos.

Jack's turned out cute with the road rash on his face. I think they may have airbrushed him a little, though because it wasn't too bad in the picture. It wouldn't be a TRUE picture of him without a scrape, bruise, stiches right in the middle of his forehead.

You always spend so much money on those stupid packages, only to get dorky pictures of your kids. Last year Alex decided that he would comb donw his curly hair before the picture. So we have a picture of Alex with fluffy 70's hair.
