OK. I will not call myself an avid reader. I like to read, but my husband is the avid reader in our house. His book collection encompasses our bookshelves, and he has read each one of them, more than once, often starting at random places in the books.
Myself, well I read here and there, often just quitting the book half way through, never to pick it up again, never giving another thought about it.
Until now.
I really am obsessed. And it seems as though I am not the only one. It can't be explained. By anyone. I think perhaps there is a drug inside the words that makes it impossible to quit it.
It's the new series by Stephanie Meyer. The series includes four books; Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The series has turned into a phenomenon, a subculture. I am in. This past week I have finished the 498 page book, Twilight, and have started, New Moon. I couldn't wait for my friend Melissa to give it to me, so I went out and bought it.
I isolated myself at work and sat alone in a different room at lunch, away from my peers to read it. That is so unlike me. Jason has read it and much to his dismay and dislike he can't put it down either. We can't explain why.
I am secretly in love with Edward Cullen.
So that is where I will be. Reading, alone with Edward. Check it out.

Seriously, anyone you mention this book to FREAKS OUT!! It must be some good stuff. Now hurry up and finish so I can have a turn.
I'll have to do it for my book club selection when it is my turn!

I have seen these at the store, but not heard much about them. Maybe I will check them out.
