Times They Are A Changin'

Alright, so I am totally stressed and slightly freaking out. I took last week off of work so that I could be home Jude's first week of school and because I could really use a break from work (can't we all). So for last week I didn't need any day care.
In July, we decided that we needed to change our daycare situation due to Jude's upcoming 1st grade year. Jude would need to change to a place where his bus could drop him off. So we decided that Lily would need to make the change as well, and we found a daycare center that had spaces, wasn't a fortune, and buses to and from his school. Wonderful. However, I am stressed out about it. They start this week and it's just unfamiliarity and change. I am worried about it being a daycare center, which is a change from us and them, for we have always used in home daycare providers. Plus, I am stressed out about the confusion of busing him home some days and to the daycare center other days. I am sure in the end it will be fine. It's just change and it worries me.
Hopefully we will be more than pleased with our choice and outcome. This is just and example of how you need to be flexible with parenting. I always thought that when the kids started school things would get easier, but I am finding out now that it is actually more difficult.

Change IS stressful and sometimes I think it would be easier to just work full-time. At least they know where they are going every day...
They will be fine. You will just have nightmares about losing them for a few nights :)
When we moved, I dreamed I left my kids at the old house, and I also dreamed tht I lost Riley in the moving truck. Nice.

I know it seems crazy but I bet the kids will love it. Sean learned so much from attending preschool/daycare. It was a wonderful experience for him.

Jason's idea for wine is helpful too!

Just make sure if you drink the wine to wait until drop off - lest you get a call that he is elsewhere and you have to drive your drunk self to the daycare.

What fun!

What the hell is that live tracker on your site? I check throughout the day sometimes - you are going to make me look like a stalker! :)
