A long time ago we decided we should instill environmentally conscious behaviors in our children. So we make a conscious effort to show them through our behaviors and by talking to them about how we should be aware of our "carbon footprint" in child layman's terms.
So last night at t-ball, Jude had to use the bathroom. The only facilities available are 2 porta-potties. I am not a freak about public restrooms, but I really don't like porta-potties. Gross. So I told Jude since no one was around just to use the bush (another thing I don't encourage.. dropping trou... that's just not good behavior... we use toilets..) but in extenuating circumstances... we drop trou.
Jude's response was a a very firm NO... followed by I don't want to ruin the environment.
Hilarious. How could I argue with that? So he used the porta-potty.

Pee is probably good for the environment. Porta potties are made of plastic so they are bad. Or something.
I agree with Mollie. But it would go along with Jude's public restroom tour? Now you can have a new category on your blog!
it would go along with the public restroom tour..
i agree with the pee being better outside than in there..
those things are so nasty.
I love it! Poop O'clock is going GREEN.
I love it. I wish he would talk to Sean. My mom once walked out into the back yard only to see his back side. Apparently he had to go to the restroom and felt like her shrubs were the perfect place.
Oh Jude, boys should love to pee on bushes! I mistakenly let my kids do it when swimming in our backyard (so the don't get the house all wet running inside), and Alex has peed under the slides at Lunken & Nicholas peed behind a big awning at the Y pool LAST WEEK! We had a serious talk!
Boys!
