Tragedy

My uncle, David, who turned 57 this week has been diagnosed with a terminal cancer. Until a month ago there were no true signs of illness. He was walking around with silent cancer, how scary. He is undergoing palliative care treatment and will be sent home with Hospice Care in a week or two. He is going to leave behind a wife and 6 kids (youngest being in high school).
I was fortunate enough to visit them this summer and see him up, around, and seemingly healthy.
I can not even fathom this tragedy/loss that his family is about to face so suddenly. He really has a special family and it is sad to imagine that their family life will shift so drastically. He was an amazing man, and I guess he is so amazing that 57 years was enough time for him to be on this earth. However, it seems unfair.
Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and I am sure that they could use all the prayers they can get.

Oh Amie, so sorry to hear that terrible news. It sounds like a lot of people are supporting him right now.
