We took a spontaneous trip to Findlay Market this Sunday morning. We have been talking about going for a while, and just haven't put forth the effort (not that it is hard). We had a blast, and got some great food.
I scored some fabulous spices, I was like a kid in a candy store at Herbs and Spice in the market. I bought the Italian Herb Mix, Saffron, Spanish Paprika, and Fenugreek Leaves. I am excited to use these spices.
There was a fabulous Italian store, I bought fresh pasta, smoked mozzarella and fontina cheese and enjoyed a fresh cannoli... yum. We bought a lot of meat and produce (which were a steal). The kids had a great time.
Our funniest moment? The sausage stand. Lily told/asked Jason (in reference to all of the sausages) those penises come from a giant pig. Hilarious. (this thought was in her head b/c much to Jason's horror the kids saw a cow castrated on the discovery channel yesterday.. she thought they cut off the cow's penis).
Try explaining that to your kids... umm

BTW, remind me to not let my kids watch discovery Channel at your house..hahaha
I had the discovery channel on and Jason was horrified.. but the day before I had come in and Jason was watching Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares on the BBC.. and everyother word out of his mouth is a curse word.. like the kids need to see that.
I think my castration was mild in comparison!

We love Findlay Market. In addition to all the great fresh food, the kids have a great time. They are slightly obsessed with the juggler. I think I might be responsible for half of his college education!
