Jude is 5!

Jude is 5. Wow, I can't believe it has been 5 years since he was born. It feels like yesterday that we were trembling in fear when we brought him home.

He has grown into such a sweet, loving boy. I can't believe that I have to give him up to go to school this year. I am sad.

Anyway, he celebrated his "real" birthday on July 9th. He had chocolate cupcakes at home after dinner. He chose to go to "Pizza Hunt" AKA.. Pizza Hut. Had Jude really ever eaten in a Pizza Hunt? No. He had some weird fascination with this restaurant. Now, perhaps that is because he named it Pizza Hunt. It sure makes it sound WAY better than it is! And let me tell you, when this child gets something in his mind, there is no telling him otherwise. I repeatedly told him that is was Pizza Hut, only to give up and start calling it Pizza Hunt myself.

So, off we went to eat at the Pizza Hunt. Well, good luck, the only eat in Pizza Hunts around are Taco Bell/ Pizza Hunt combos. Yuck. But, he chose, and it is his birthday. Jason and I watched as Lily and Jude ate there Pizza Hunt combo meals. He found it to be the perfect birthday! Or as Jude is frequently quoted, "This is the best day EVER."
