Craig's List

I love Craig's List. We bought our dining room set from someone off the list and this weekend I bought a bike.
This week marks the end of my 1/2 marathon training. I do not want to get burned out on running, so I decided I needed a new activity or cross training activity. I decided on cycling. So I need a road bike. I march myself into West Chester Cycle and ask the tattooed, tongue ringed guy what I need. He settles on a road bike based on my needs and wants.
Yeah, um, these START at $599. That is A LOT of money on something I am just starting (and lets face it, may not like). So I leave, depressed. I decided on a $60 road bike from Craig's List. It is old, it has rust, but it works (sort of). It is a good start for me to decide if I like it. If I do, then I will move on to EBay, where it is a step up in $, but no $599 plus.
I took my first cycle on this bike today, yeah, I had to leave it because it wasn't working, and walk home. I was too mad to run. I walked and was too mad to retrieve the bike. Jason went to retrieve it. He picked it up in my car and it works again. Who knows.
Needless to say it is a good start. So I do love Craig's List.
Anyone selling a reliable road bike? I might need to replace my rusted $60 bike : )
