Today, February 2, 2007, was Jude's first snow day from preschool. They called me at 10:45 a.m. to let me know they were closing school. I am not too suprised to get the call, due to all the school closings that I saw scrolling on the TV while running this morning. So we call off school now for impending weather? That would be because the Cincinnati meterologists are always right on the money? Did you know that schools were closed yesterday for cold? UMMM.. don't they have heat? Do college campuses close because it is too cold to walk on campus? I don't think so. So here are parents this morning, scrounging for alternative day care or having to stay home. Apparently Cincinnati can not drive in 1 inch of snow.......? Oh yes, that is true! I have lived in Chicago, they don't cancel school there unless you can not open you front door the snow is so high, (and yes that has happened there). Cincinnati Public School did not close today, perhaps the other schools should take a clue from them. I bet Cincinnati Public takes into account that they have a lot of working parents before they cancel school. Anyway, enough of my ranting. Luckily, for me it doesn't matter yet... We actually had a good snow day.

Cute pictures! The picnic things is always refreshing for the kids. Then they start expecting it and it turns on you...LOL! Anderson schools copy Cincy Public. Alex preschool let out at 11:50 instead of 12:25...OKAY??? And afternoon let out 90 minutes early. It's nice to see snow...but I know I will hate it when I have to drag three kids out in it!
Lily is looking so much like a big girl! Love it.
Today it was -30 degrees with wind chill. They BETTER open that school tomorrow or I might pick the lock and drop them off anyway!
