Yes, I have the Post-Christmas Blues. Perhaps it could also be called the Winter is here and what the hell am I going to do now blues. I am very much a task oriented person. I see tasks and I like to check them off. Fall is here....... Halloween.. Check.... Thanksgiving.... check... Christmas..... check..... New Years Eve(always a let down).... check. January... what can I check off? NOTHING. NOTHING until..... spring. One...Two...Three....Four months away!!!!!!!!!!!
It isn't like I can check anything off in spring. It is just filled with warm fun activities.
So now I need to start coming up with ideas of things to do. Things for Jason and I to do, I need to go out... what to do... and things to do with the kids... (such as germ infested places such as Sharon Woods Center indoor playground, Chuckie Cheese, Totter Otterville, The Children's Museum. I long for the days of outside play, the pool..... AHHHHHHHH.
So here is my first social thought. I will save this for February. There isn't anything in February.
I am going to host a Traveling Vineyard Party. I heard that.. the OHHHHHHH a hosting party.
Yeah, I am not big on going to Pampered Chef, Discovery Toys, Jewelry, etc parties.. much less hosting one, BUT this is a cool one. The Traveling Vineyard comes to your house (they bring the wine and glasses!) and they host a wine tasting at your house. Of course it is so people can buy wine and I get free stuff... but who doesn't LOVE wine or NEED wine. It will be fun, and I could care less if people buy stuff. PURELY for entertainment. So who needs a night out?
So this will give me something to prepare for and check off. Good! Now I have another adventure, Jason and I are going to host a group for church. (This is us going out of our comfort zone and trying to expand our friendship circle.) I believe it is for 8 weeks.... CHECK. This starts in Feb and then would end by April... ohhhh almost spring. OK... lets see if this helps me beat the winter blues???
