Marriage and Friendship

Here are some pictures from our trip in August to NYC to see my best friend, Angel, marry the true love of her life, Tim. We arrived in NYC on Thursday night after our flight in without kids... and even the flight was nice b/c we were alone. Thursday night was the WALK THE ISLAND PUBCRAWL. This is something they do every year in tradition (although I think the crowd dwindles every year). This perhaps was the best turnout, since it was a wedding celebration! The idea was to walk the 13 miles of the island and stop at the designated bars along the way. Tim had the time down to the minute and what and how much you were to drink at each bar (he plans stuff for a living). So the lazy ones (mysel, bride and most included) took the subway at times, and broke the drinking rules. The top of the island by the Bronx was the start, finishing at the end to view the Statue of Liberty. They rode the Met Life Bull too. We missed that part, bride included, b/c we wimped out at 1 a.m. Anyway, the rest of the weekend was spent just spending time alone with my husband, really enjoying eachother, seeing friends we had not seen in a long time and doing wedding stuff. No the whole weekend was NOT about her wedding. She was FAR from a bridezilla and I would expect nothing less from her or Tim. They really made the weekend very enjoyable for everyone and their wedding was the most beautiful that I have been to. I love small weddings... and I am a little bias. ANYWHO.... To my friends Angel and Tim. If you could only recreate this weekend for us EVERY YEAR. We LOVE you! And CHEERS!
