AN EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT

12 INCHES OF WHITE POWDER
Starting on Wednesday, December 22 early in the am before we got out of bed, the snow started falling. Falling, "out of the sky" to quote Jude. It finally stopped mid morning on Thursday, December 23rd.
Jude and I ventured out yesterday morning to a friends house about 10 miles away, and the roads weren't wonderful then, it was a slow drive. By 2:30 Jason decided to leave work, about 15miles away. What normally takes him 30-45 min. in rush hour took him a little over 2 hours to get home. A level 3 snow emergency was issued downtown on Thursday, so Jason is home from work. YEAH.
Jude and Jason played out in the snow for a while and then Jude and Daddy enjoyed some hot chocolate with marshmallows when they returned inside.
Jude had fun, but had a hard time coping with how cold he felt when he came inside.
So now, 11:00am the roads are plowed and we can now drive again! So I will continue to finish my last minute chrismas shopping that I do every year.
